The Public Record can report that the first call the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Mojtaba Khamenei, made after getting the top job wasn’t to friends and famiy, but to his insurance company.
“Yeah, the pay-by-the-month feature is really handy if cash is tight or you don’t think you need a full year’s coverage,” said someone close to the leader.
“Moj reckons he can save some coin by dropping back to monthly payments, as he thinks he won’t be needing a full year’s worth, if you catch my drift”.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the new Ayatollah. After being directed to a call centre in the Phillipines, and being left on hold for an extended period of time, he received some shattering news.
“You wouldn’t believe it… they’ve jacked his home and contents insurance up by 300%! Also, he has flood and fire, but they’ve cancelled Tomahawk missle coverage, which he had added a while back.”
The source told The Public Record that the new leader is determined to “shop around” to try and get a better monthly rate, and get his extras reinstated.
